Neonatology
Most of the time, your child's birth will go according to plan, but other times, your baby may need some help. Neonatology, otherwise known as neonatal care, is a specialised intensive care treatment that is often necessary for the following reasons:
- they are born prematurely
- they have a low birth weight
- they have a specific medical condition which needs treatment in the hospital
