Dr Muhammad Wakeel Mathure
MBChB(WITS), Dip Child Health(SA), FCPaed(SA), Mmed(Stell)
Between 2012 and 2014, he completed his internship and community service at GF Jooste Hospital and Hanover Park Clinic in Cape Town.
Upon completing his community service, Dr M Wakeel Mathure accepted a position as a Paediatric Medical Officer at Tygerberg Hospital in 2015. While gaining valuable experience, he completed a Diploma in Child Health through Tygerberg Hospital.
In 2018, Dr M Wakeel Mathure decided to specialise in paediatrics and pursue a master's in medicine (MMed, Paed) through the University of Stellenbosch, achieving his Fellowship in Paediatrics (FCPaed, SA) while doing so. He spent his first year of fellowship training at Khayelitsha District Hospital before moving back to Tygerberg hospital.
In addition, Dr M Wakeel Mathure has completed numerous courses that have allowed him to expand his medical knowledge and equip himself with the necessary skills to provide the best care to his young patients.

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – September 2014 Cape Town
Along with general paediatrics, Dr M Wakeel Mathure has a special interest in paediatric allergies and neonatology, which is a subspecialty that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill or premature newborns.
